General Membership Meeting

We announced last month that there will be a general meeting October 10th for all members to attend.

After much discussion we have concluded that the future of Positive Focus rests in the hands of the general membership. We are not a large enough Board to re-establish and run Positive Focus the way it has been run in the past.

We encourage all members to consider their interest in Positive Focus and how much time they feel they can devote to shaping its future. We believe, given all of the positive benefits of working within Positive Focus, that there will be a significant number of members who will want to contribute their time and creative energy to the future of Positive Focus.

When we meet on Wednesday, October 10, we will provide an overview of the past (Lorrie’s vision, past projects, etc.), the present (infrastructure in place to build from), and the immediate challenges to be dealt with over the next few months.

In order to gauge the level of interest in and commitment to the next phase of Positive Focus, we ask that members RSVP to julie@positivefocus.org to let us know if they will be attending the

October 10th meeting, at 7:00pm
at Safe-T Gallery 111 Front Street,
DUMBO, Brooklyn.

This meeting will only be held if we have sufficient response.

If you are unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict, but have a real interest in participating in managing Positive Focus, please let us know.

We urge you to express your interest by your actions and attend this meeting to help shape the future of Positive Focus. It has tremendous possibilities that have only begun to be tapped. We look forward to meeting you October 10th, and having a fruitful beginning to the next phase of Positive Focus.
